Plaque Honors the Achievement Two Years Running!

Recognition Awarded by the Laredo Chamber of
Commerce
LAREDO, TX September 14, 2009 -- South
Texas Waste Systems was the recipient of the Retail and
Business 5 Star Customer Service Award presented by the
Laredo Chamber. Miguel Conchas, Laredo Chamber
president and chief executive officer said the 5 Star
Service Awards were started a number of years ago in an
effort to recognize and honor companies that excel at
customer service.

The USCA "Best of Local
Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local
businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA
identifies companies that they believe have achieved
exceptional marketing success in their local community and
business category. These are local companies that enhance
the positive image of small business through service to
their customers and community.
Various sources of
information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners
in each category. The 2009 USCA Award Program focused on
quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the
information gathered both internally by the USCA and data
provided by third parties.

STWS Wins 2008 Laredo Chamber of
Commerce Hospitality Award
On August 23 the Laredo
Chamber honored companies for keeping their customers number
one, and the best of the best businesses were recognized.
South Texas Waste Systems was the winner of the Hospitality
Award. The Laredo Chamber of Commerce handed out its
Five Star Customer Service Awards which exemplified good
work.
STWS competed against
Best Western San Isidro, Chili's Bar and Grill, Holiday Inn
Civic Center, La Posada Hotel, Laredo Broncos and McDonalds
Restaurant to win this award.
Thirty-nine businesses
were nominated for the customer service awards in the fields
of financial services, community service, hospitality,
health care services and retail. "Good customer
service is good for your business and we want to recognize
that," Chamber President Miguel Conchas said.
Journalist Walter
Rodgers, a former CNN London bureau chief, served as the
keynote speaker.
