Laredo Portable Restroom Services
Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  What areas do you service?
A:  Almost anywhere within 1 hour driving time from Laredo.

Q:  How many toilets do I need for my job site or special event?
A:  We can help with that, we have an estimator that helps determine the number of toilets needed base on hours worked and the number of people on the job site.  Please give us your numbers.  Please call (956) 726-9444 or contact us for assistance.

Q:  How many people can a portable toilet handle?
A:  One Toilet can handle up to 10 workers working a normal 40 hour work week.

Q:  Can you service a toilet more than once a week?
A:  In most cases yes, but if we are not in that area 2 times a week we will put two toilets in place and service them 1 time a week.

Q:  How do you control odors?
A:  We use top of the line chemicals to treat the waste, but keep in mind even that doesn't always help when its 100 degrees outside.  If you continue to have problems with odor you may need to increase service frequency or add another unit.  The odor comes when the waste in the chamber breaks the water line.

Q:  How much do you charge?
A:  That depends mostly where the equipment will be located, if it is easily accessible, and the level of service that you need.  Please call (956) 726-9444 or contact us for a quotation.

Q:  What hours do you service the toilets?
A:  Our drivers start their work at 7:00 AM and the work ends when their route is done.  For special events, we have full time on-site services available to keep the equipment clean and stocked for the duration of your event.

Q:  What happens when my toilet gets tipped over either by weather or rowdy kids?

A:  Once you call in we can schedule a cleaning for an extra charge or you can set it up and wait till your next service day. Read about how our Damage Waiver reduces your risks.

Q:  How much toilet paper do you put in the toilets?
A:  For once a week service we put four rolls per toilet per week.

Q: Am I required to have a portable toilet on my job site?
A: OSHA requires a portable toilet on a job site under safety and health regulations for a construction site. Most ordinances specifically spell out the requirements of a Portable Toilet on a Construction Site and inspectors will require sanitation services before issuing permits for construction.

Q: Does a portable toilet on my construction site really cuts down on expenses and time, and do proper placement and location really save me money?
A: Hiring the right company to make the best recommendations for you portable sanitation needs is very important to increase productivity because:

  • Choosing best locations minimizes the need to walk across the project site to use a portable toilet facility.

  • Consider the time workers must spend walking to and from an alternative sanitary or "unsanitary" facility because no close facility has been provided.

  • The construction site is a reflection on your company and is seen by customers, inspectors and the general public. A worksite with adequate worker sanitation facilities will enhance your company's image.

  • Adequate number of units provide for cleaner facilities - less use per unit.

  • Make your workers happier and more productive.

Q: Do you provide temporary fence rental for construction sites and special events?

Q: Do you have portable storage containers available for rent?
A: Yes, we have a large selection of portable storage units available for construction projects or special events.  We provide prompt delivery and pick-up. Read more about portable storage containers.

Our Damage Waiver Reduces Your Risks

In response to requests from many of our customers, STWS is pleased to introduce a new Damage Waiver Program as another service to help reduce your exposure when renting STWS portable restrooms.

This is an excellent optional benefit, and we think you’ll agree that this is something you can’t afford to be without! Let us explain some of the details.

What is the Damage Waiver?
It’s an optional provision which will eliminate back charges for accidental damage, vandalism, destruction by fire, theft, etc. It applies to standard, handicap, inside, hook and mobile portable restrooms.

How will it help me?
In a number of ways, first, you are protected 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You are covered regardless of who causes the damage… your own people, subcontractors, material suppliers, visitors or intruders. The only time paperwork is needed is in the event of theft, for which a police report is necessary.

How much does it cost?
The damage waiver is a flat charge of $1.50 per week per portable toilet restroom. When you consider that the replacement cost of a destroyed portable restroom is almost $650.00 today, the damage waiver is indeed a small price to eliminate the risk.

How does it work?
Very easy, this protection is automatically included in your rental, so you need not do anything in order to be covered by the damage waiver.

What happens when my portable toilet is 100% damaged?
You will just need to file a police report and bring it to South Texas Waste Systems as well as a deductible of $150.00 per unit.
